We are seeking Machine Operators - Production Worker (Spot Welding Machine) in La Mirada, CA. Wesanco is a leader in the high-growth market for stainless steel strut, strut accessories, fittings, brackets, and strut nuts. They provide strut and accessories for industrial and construction needs. M-F hours of Operations vary Two Shifts available: Day shift ends at 2:30pm, Night shift starts at 2:30pm. 3rd shift OPENINGS Please send resumes to: [email protected] ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Requires the ability to operate various types, kind and size of Spot-Welding machines • Must be able to properly set-up machine with reference to type, thickness, shape, and contour of material to be worked on • Ability to use handheld welding equipment such as welding clamps to weld or join metal components or seams of fabricated metal pieces • Selects proper areas, offset holders, electrodes, and tips • Determines and adjusts pressure and power stroke sets welding current and timing cycle • Straightens parts, if necessary; welds parts together to complete assembly • Recognizes improper functions and corrects by adjusting machine • Refinishes electrode tips towards good welding operation • Performs regular Spot/Seam Welder's functions with the continuous manual lifting of sub-assemblies and assemblies Salary & Benefits: · Pay starts at $19.00/ per hr. with Machine Operator experience required. · Excellent medical benefits · Vision, Dental Plans · Life Insurance · 401(k) Retirement Plan · Vacation up to 4 weeks (based on years of service) Requirements: * Prior Machine Operator experience necessary, but will TRAIN to use Spot Welding Machine. * Ability to work Night Shift required (starts at 2:30pm) if needed * Ability to work overtime is required * Candidate must have strong Mechanical skills, be able to follow written and verbal instructions. * Good basic skills: reading, writing, English and communication * Must be able to work in U.S., Citizen or Permanent Resident. * Must be able to stand for at least 4 consecutive hours We maintain a drug-free workplace and reserve the right to conduct pre-employment substance abuse testing and background check.
