Palm Desert Businesses Offered Free PPE

PALM DESERT, CA — The City of Palm Desert in partnership with the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership is providing local businesses with free personal protective equipment, the city announced this week. The equipment includes 120,000 face masks, 7,900 bottles of hand sanitizer, and 3,600 face shields. Businesses can get the free PPE, while supplies last, via contactless pick-up on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Palm Desert Community Center, 43900 San Pablo Avenue (follow the arrows in the Civic Center parking lot). Part of CVEP's "Million Mask Giveaway," the free PPE for businesses program is funded by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services with support from CVEP and the city. The free items are intended to relieve businesses of the cost of purchasing PPE. "The City is extremely pleased to partner with CVEP in this initiative to support the health of both our residents and our businesses during this challenging time," said Palm Desert Mayor Kathleen Kelly.
