The Neuro-Oncology Program at the Advent Health Cancer Institute has been growing and evolving over the past 7 years, with new treatment modalities, increased personnel, new clinical sites in order to assist more patients, and an expanded clinical trial portfolio. We have also increased our fundraising efforts in recent years, including using music as a catalyst to raise money for our Clinic, research team, and patients. Now we are teaming up with the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) to host this musical fundraising event at the Alley, to raise money to continue our efforts on behalf of the Central Florida Brain Tumor Community. Stone Lotus is a 6-member band consisting of veteran musicians from the music scenes in Florida and Ohio, with over 100 years of combined experience on the stage. The band has been playing in central FL and the Daytona area for the past 7 years and is a classic rock band with a strong female lead singer, who play a mix of rock and roll from the late 60’s through the 90’s, along with a few contemporary and country tunes thrown in as well. Many of the band members are in the medical field (3 MD’s, 1 RN NP), and love to “give back” through the music, playing at various fundraisers and related events every year. Tickets purchased for this event are not tax deductible, but donations directly to the ABTA are.
