Who this In Person Event is for: Ages 6-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Due to the nature of this event, we ask that children and siblings outside this age group DO NOT attend. What we'll be doing: Together we will create a kinder community by learning how to be an ally for those who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. We will talk about what it means to be an ally, what it means to be a bystander, and how we can show our support and encourage LGBTQIA+ youth who are struggling, specifically those that visit the Kaleidoscope Youth Center. We will listen to a speaker from Kaleidoscope Youth Center tell us about their services and impact. Activities will include discussion, interactive games, and creating encouragement kits for the youth at Kaleidoscope. Participants will also have the option of visiting Kaleidoscope Youth Center (a short walk from the library) immediately following the program for a tour. COVID-19 Protocol for In Person Events: Please review our COVID-19 Protocol for In Person Programming before registering for this event. This is an indoor event and masks are recommended. Specific Instructions: All supplies will be provided. Why you'll be asked to pay a supply fee and donate: On the next page you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for Columbus-area kids. Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds, during COVID-19, and far into the future. We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring project.
