Flying into North America’s biggest mountains on a little plane is the ski trip of a lifetime! Chris Davenport, a Professional Skier, Guide, Author, Sports Announcer and Speaker based out of Aspen, Colorado is a two-time World Champion skier and is widely regarded as one of the pre?mier big mountain skiers of the last thirty years. Among his many competitive and ski mountaineering achievements, in 2007 Chris became the first person to ski all fifty-four of Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks in less than one year. He is an ESPN X-Games medal?ist, five-time Powder Award winner, and winner of the 24 Hours of Aspen World En?durance Skiing Champs. He has numerous first descents of peaks around the globe under his belt, and has guided and skied on many of the World’s highest peaks, includ?ing Denali and Mt. Everest. As a ski guide Chris has worked on all seven continents, including five trips to Antarcti?ca, four trips to Denali, many seasons in the Alps, and working for guide services such as Mountain Trip, Ice Axe Expeditions, Kingfisher Heli Skiing, Eleven Experience, and for more than twenty years with Aspen Expeditions. In the ski brand space Chris spent 12 years with Salomon, and was involved in the de?sign and development of the X-Scream, Pocket Rocket, and AK Rocket ski lines. After Salomon Chris spent 15 years as an owner and athlete at Kastle Skis, and was involved in all aspects of the Kastle business, from product development, to North American sales, to key marketing initiatives. Chris was part of the ownership group that sold Kas?tle in 2017. Chris has been featured in more than thirty ski films by Warren Miller and Matchstick Productions. He is also a TV commentator for ESPN, ABC sports, and Outside Televi?sion, Chris is an Olympic (2010, 2018) and World Cup (1999-2022) sports announcer for ski racing events.. He is the author of two beautiful coffee-table books that celebrate North America’s mountains, Ski The 14ers and Fifty Classic Ski Descents of North America. He was recently named one of ESPN’s “10 Greatest American Freeskiers of all Time”. Chris is an honored member of the USA Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame. Chris serves as a Director of non-profits Protect Our Winters, the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) the Aspen Valley Ski Club, and New Hampshire’s Holderness School. When not traveling the globe Chris resides in Aspen, Colorado with his wife and three boys.
