Description

After a sold out summer run of Black Hole Symphony (as featured in the Boston Globe), join the Multiverse once again to begin our Fall season! Art of PolymersPolymers are everywhere. From our DNA strands to the proteins in our tissues, natural and artificial fibres - polymers permeate our lives, weaving a tapestry of beauty and challenges for a sustainable future. In Art of Polymers, Multiverse Musicians are joined live-in-concert by Scientists from MONET Project (including researchers from MIT) to explore the nature of polymers in our lives, and in the future we want to create. Over the course of an evening, original classical and electronic musical pieces will be interwoven with live-science demonstrations from chemists working in a diversity of fields across the US. By coming together, artist and scientists will explore the future of recyclables, biodegradable plastics and smart materials - the next generation of polymers to build a sustainable world. Featuring music for cello and electronics, 3D printed instruments, and musical robotics from the WPI Perception and Robotics Lab. Hosted live at MIT's Killian Hall and streamed live via Zoom.
