Let us step into this Moon by deepening our connections within the self, releasing the binds that hold us back from shining our true and authentic light. Designed in the structure of a ritual, we aim to call on the Spirit of the Elements, our Ancestors, and Inner Power to assist in building community and provide moments for spiritual healing and rejuvenation. We return to the practices of old by joining in circle together, with open hearts- closing the gap between our peers and our spirituality. Bring your own pillow, a friend, and your favorite colors of blue as we celebrate within the Element of Water. The Element of Water: The Element of Water is associated with Divination, Intuition, Portals and Psychic Powers. Water holds memory, it is alive, it is a portal and lubrication to the realm of Spirit, as well as a reflection of our own inner powers. It is the force that connects us all to one another and to this Earth. In the beliefs that follow animism, an understanding that all living beings hold a soul, each of these beings contain, carry or have been molded by Water. In Waters connection to the Planetary powers we also find Divination and the Power of The Divine. New Moon: A time of inner work. As the moon represents our reflections, our connections to our inner selves and in many practices, a connection to the Mother, the Goddess- the Moon. When She shows us Her dark face we take that time to release, to dive deep into our own darker selves and pour grace into it. In these events we choose to elevate the magic and beauty of Lunar magic and the Divine Feminine through the lens of Black, Afro, and Indigenous customs. We choose to take dedicated time in radically finding healing through Community and Folk Magic by rejecting the notions and weight of Patriarchy in our day to day lives. We advocate for the tradition of Black Indigenous folk magic, not only as social engagement but as a radical movement towards achieving physical and spiritual harmony within ourselves and the world around us. By drinking herbal tea we recognizing the spirit and magic of the herbs themselves and reshape our world view into a cultural approach that honor these lands and the earth beneath us. Based in New Orleans, each of our herbal tea blends are crafted with the wisdom of our Ancestors. We sustainably pack and source organic herbal teas, soaps and baths to promote wellness, intentionality and the revival of the sacred practices of Afro-Indigenous magic. We are heavily influenced by our founders Black American heritage explored in Rootwork and Druidery, and their study of traditional Chinese Tea Ceremonies.
