Group classes meet on Thursdays 630 to 8 in Central Park. First class is free. After that, group classes (small groups)are $22 with monthly discounts available. For September and October, students with some (any) prior musical experience are preferred. Private classes $60/hour. Mostly Cuban and Brazilian grooves---salsa, son, chacha, Afro-Cuban, samba etc... Exercises, independence, reading.... Explore the subtleties of "small percussion"guiro, cowbell, tamborim, agogo, etc. Learn the clave!! Develop timing, technique, musicality and listening skills.
