JOB SUMMARY: GPD Optoelectronics is seeking a detail-oriented Custodian responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly manufacturing facility. This is a 30 hour a week part time position, with the potential to be fulltime. Must possess motivation, independence, and strong time management skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Clean and care for GPD offices and light manufacturing areas to maintain a high standard of care for cleanliness and ensuring that offices are neat, presentable, and in good working order. o Clean floors by sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and/or mopping o Clean and replenish supplies in common areas including restrooms and kitchen / break rooms o Frequent cleaning of glass doors / mirrors and sanitization of high touch surfaces o Empty garbage and replace liners • Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment • Maintain a janitorial checklist • Handle light snow removal and salt walkways as needed, a crew handles parking area • Occasional painting for touch ups or specific maintenance projects • Notify supervisor of any unsafe conditions or concern for repair • Follow safety procedures and precautions SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Demonstrates professionalism • Works well independently and as a team • Follows written and verbal instructions • Handle the physical demands of the job, bending, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS, AND EXPERIENCE: • Ability to identify, multi-task, and resolve multiple priority issues quickly. • Ability to approach tasks in a detail-oriented manner. • A High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) • Salary commensurate with experience This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export controlled technology.
