During this after school enrichment, children will engage in nature-based herbal activities dedicated to the richness of fall and all it's wonderful plant- based offerings. Beginning with Indigenous People's Day, we will celebrate reverence for the ancestors of the land, stories, and herbal practices. The rest of the week will consist of engaging the senses with wild and cultivated plant identification, foraging, wild crafting, and botanical magic creations that resonate with Autumn.

Monday Oct. 10th
Celebrate Indigenous People's Day
- Read stories of local Indigenous Cultures
- Make Corn Husk Dolls
- Enjoy Corn Silk tea; Make an herbal honey infusion of wild roots and garlic
Tuesday Oct. 11th
It's Tea Time!
- Gather wild plants on the land for making a fresh herbal tea
- Learn foraging guidelines; the how-to's of tea blending; drying herbs for keeping in your apothecary
- Demonstration of hanging herbs to dry in the sweat lodge
Wednesday Oct. 12th
Making Herbal Ciders and Discovering Seeds
- Learn how to make kid friendly "fire cider"
- Discover the vast array of seeds on the land; learn seed collecting skills
- Fall seed bundle making
Thursday Oct. 13th
Herbal Cordials and Salves for fall
- Fall folk traditions and stories
Friday Oct. 14th
Herbal Culinary Delights
- Demonstration of cooking with wild herbs
- Community potluck
