Staff members from Stephen F. Austin State University’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships will show families how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, and explain the different types of financial aid. Families also will get the opportunity to begin their student’s FAFSA application. Participants should come prepared with their personally identifiable information, such as date of birth and Social Security numbers, as well as their 2021 W-2s and tax returns. Each student and a parent will need to create an FSA username and password on studentaid.gov. A Spanish-speaking translator will also be at the event to assist families.
