The New Glarus Wine Walk, sponsored by the Friends of the Chalet of the Golden Fleece, promises a night of fun, friends and fund raising for the museum. The Chalet 's Wine Walk Event features local and imported wines and unique shopping experiences in downtown New Glarus. Enjoy a wine tasting, browse the shops and socialize with your friends. It's also a great way to make new friends and support our museum and local history. Thirteen local retailers will be offering samples of a sweet or dry wine, your choice, and a snack for you to enjoy. Couple that with a very unique shopping experiences and you have a night to remember! Same day tickets can be purchased at the museum, depending on availability, during registration hours. The Wine Walk starts at 5 pm and ends at 8:30 pm. The Chalet is a unique three-story house museum featuring a predominately Swiss collection with some of country’s finest Swiss folk art and Swiss wood carvings. An eclectic collection, with items from founder, Edwin Barlow's world travels, you will be entertained and amazed at the items housed at the Chalet! Here's your chance to visit the museum before we close for the season! Please note: All wine should be consumed at the site it is served. Open intoxicants on Village Streets are prohibited.
