Hi class of 2001, welcome to our fashionably late 20th reunion! Michael and I have worked with several of our other classmates (thank you Amber, Jenny, Matt, Grant, and several others!) who've given great ideas and contributed to getting this organized. We are opting for something low key the day after the official RLT homecoming football game. Our goal is to make this as inclusive as possible, so please share with your class of '01 network, especially those who aren't on Facebook and may not have seen the pre-reunion pool party info and lead up to this event. We have paid to secure an outdoor pavilion at 3 Nations Brewing, in the courtyard with live music. Nostalgia alert: if you remember Sandy Lake Park, it's actually the old carousel pavilion (minus the carousel). Weather-permitting, we will be outdoors but there's a back up space plan if we need to move inside. We've also covered the cost of a TABC bartender who can serve wine if you BYOB - for all non-beer drinkers. We can accommodate up to 150 people on the current reservation but will make additional plans if it goes beyond that. It is very important to grab a ticket here for you and any plus 1's so we have an accurate count. Note that you'll have to register for each person separately. It's also how you will get your wristband to take advantage of our RLT class of '01 discounts - $4 beers, use of the wine bartender if you BYOB and first 150 people get a free drink ticket. We covered $1075 to secure this and welcome any donations to go toward that amount. If donations exceed the $1075, we will look into catering options to bring in food. Either way, everyone will be able to bring in whatever food you'd like, plus there's a BBQ food truck on site. If you haven't been to 3NB, it's in old downtown Carrollton, so parking is limited. Just one more reason to Uber if you can! Lastly, I know we all had friends in multiple grade levels. The class of 2000 is delayed as well and potentially looking to rent space the same day. So feel free to spread the word to them, but they will keep count on a different Event Brite so the head counts and donations are all easier to track.
