Please join us for a tour of recently completed projects at UNC Chapel Hill - including the Curtis Media Center. The Curtis Media Center is the first new building constructed in the historic core of UNC Chapel Hill's campus in over a decade. Following the tour there will be light refreshments and a panel discussion with professionals from three of North Carolina's largest universities, moderated by Zakiya Wiggins, NCNOMA President: Evan Yassky - University Architect & Executive Director of Facilities Planning and Design, UNC Chapel HillAdem Gusa - Director of Planning and Design, Duke University Lisa Johnson - University Architect, NC StatePanelists will share about their career paths, structure of university facility departments and what makes practicing architecture in a university role unique from working at a traditional architecture firm. The 5:30 pm meeting point for the tour is the Student and Academic Services Building Courtyard (385 Manning Drive, Chapel Hill, NC 27514). The 6:30 pm panel discussion will take place at the Curtis Media Center Room 201/202. See maps below for parking.
