Ring in the New Year with Pontotoc County Juneteenth as we observe the 160th Watch Night anniversary commemorating the legalization of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863. Join us for hors d'oeuvre, cocktails, music, and dancing as we invoke the spirit of our ancestors who kept watch through the night of December 31, 1862 in anticipation of their freedom from enslavement. Primarily reserved as a night of worship, we honor this pivotal moment of Black American history with fellowship and pageantry. Compete for the Couples 2-Step or Singles Line Dance Champion titles while peacocking in your finest digs to earn the coveted Belle and Beaux of the Ball title by vote of fellow attendees. Smokers can enjoy the outdoor lounge area with complementary cigars. Winners for exciting door prizes will be randomly selected throughout the night. Not a dancer? Enjoy cards, dominoes, and more in our "Players' Club" section. Finally, let freedom ring at midnight with a hand bell salute and a champagne toast as we say welcome to 2023 and thank our ancestors for their unwilling sacrifice! Don't miss out on this historical event! Limited space available. Reserve your spot today! — Dress Code: Formal Black Tie/Cocktail required. Dress Code will be strictly enforced. Adults 21+
