"NOT IMPRESSED" - A SOLO EXHIBITION BY KARA BROOKS
Kara Brooks is a Tempe-based artist with Oakland, Pittsburgh, & Philadelphia roots. Currently her work ranges from digital and traditional drawing and glitter painting. She enjoys contrasting the assumptions that glitter generically holds and uses it as a vehicle to reflect her world. Through her work, she examines fear, nostalgia, mundanity, and patterns, and believes most issues labeled as complicated are not, they are simply layered. Examining layers takes patience, "complicated" things require expertise. She is currently an MFA Intermedia student at ASU.
