PITTSBURGH, PA — Police are investigating the abduction of a puppy from its owner in Squirrel Hill on Tuesday. According to police, the dog's owner was walking the dog near the Frick Park Environmental Center around 6 p.m. when a man stopped and started petting it. The man then picked the dog up and unhooked the leash from its collar. When the woman asked for her dog to be returned, police said he pushed her and ran off with the puppy. The dog, Daphne, is a four=month-old mixed breed with black and white coloring, approximately 20 pounds and wearing a pink collar. Police ask that anyone who sees Daphne or has any information call Pittsburgh Police Zone 4 at 412-422-6520.
