The Marine Resources Council is pleased to partner with children's book author, Margaret Livermore to host this Lunch & Learn Seminar. The Presentation Features Sparking discussion by combining education with poems and art Instilling the values of conservation and restorationThis Seminar is an in-person event that will also be available live on Zoom. All attendees must register through the green "Tickets" button. The Zoom Webinar access link will be shared with attendees through the registration confirmation email, under "Additional Information". This education series is made possible by charitable donations. If interested and able, MRC humbly asks attendees to contribute toward fueling future Lunch & Learn seminars. Thank you for your consideration. Margaret is a retired Nurse Practitioner and grandmother who loves living near the Indian River Lagoon. She encourages a love for the lagoon and the animals that live there through the Lagoona Lands books for children. Margaret is a Coastal Shoreline Restoration Master Naturalist throught the University of Florida, and is involved with the Brevard Zoo to plant mangroves and restore oyster beds near her home in Merritt Island, FL. Her stories are written to plant the seeds of conservation and restoration in the young reader. Margaret is currently working with local schools and Natural Resources Management Department of Brevard County to achieve this goal.
