Two 40ish multi-instrumentalist songwriters are looking to start a new project. Ideally would like it to be within a spacey, psych, slow core with a sludge doom metal vibe but we are prepared to roll with it. Probably start with writing some simple things to learn to work with each other. We are looking to build the band from the ground up, so all who are interested should respond. We can really get cooking with a drummer or beat machine/synth person. Would prefer someone local to the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area with transport who is interested in contributing to a hard working project. Some influences include: Melvins, Electric Wizard, Thee Oh Sees/Osees, King Gizz, anything related to Ty Segal, Windhand, All them witches, bloc party, modest mouse, band of horses, Kikagaku Moyo, TV on the Radio, Black Angels, Tune Yards, Idles, Battles, black midi, Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats. BMSR, Beachhouse, Grateful Dead, CCR, Skynyrd, Floyd, Zep, ZZtop, queens of the stoned age…etc We have our own transportation and gear. We are willing to work with writing riffs and songs as well as learning and teaching new techniques. We are open to anyone and everyone willing to work to get the project off the ground.
