Soulful Singer Looking for Musician

I am finally stepping into myself as a Singer and am having a blast, but would love to jam with others and ultimately start a band to play and perform conscious, beautiful, soulful music together. =) My favorite musical artists include: Joss Stone, Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, India Arie, Nahko Bear, Rising Appalachia, Jewel, Alexia Chellun, John Lennon, Pink, Paul Izak, Sam Garrett. I love music with depth and that allows me to explore my vocal range. It'd be fun to do some covers, but mostly I want to write and play original music. I have written many songs, but seeing as I don't play any instruments, I'm not able to create the music for it, and sometimes not even a good melody. Some of my songs are a mix of singing and rap. I am decent at the djembe and use that for some of my simpler songs, though am open to not playing too if something else sounds better. I'm a fan of kirtan (singing names of the divine in sanskrit and other languages) and weave some of that into some of my jams. I am very open to teaming up forces on songwriting, and really would love to team up forces with someone with a similar vibe who can help co-create some really powerful songs with conscious lyrics to inspire, uplift, and empower those who listen.
