Joni Mitchell Tribute Band Looking for 2nd Lead Vocalist

Meets

Beaverton OR

Description

We are an established, gigging Joni Mitchell Tribute Band of professional musicians. There has been a personnel change, and we are looking for a 2nd female vocalist who also plays rhythm guitar. Alto, or preferably, soprano voice needed. Our other singer is an alto with a good range. We embrace Joni's entire musical career, so there are songs that range from Rock/Jazz/Folk/Pop. You would be responsible for about 40% of the lead vocals, and harmony vocals with our other singer who plays keyboards. Our lineup is vocals/keys, lead electric guitar, electric bass, and drums/percussion. We have a comfortable, secure, clean rehearsal room in a band member's home, with a P.A., drum set, amps, mic stands, music stands, and keyboard. You would bring a guitar and vocal mic to rehearsals. Joni used many special tunings, so we can discuss options for the rhythm guitar, (tunings, MIDI guitar or Roland GK-3 MIDI pickup attached to your electric guitar-- played through a Roland GR-55, Boss GP-10 etc.) Our other vocalist is a music professor and piano/vocal teacher, so she will work with you to coordinate harmonies and with any help needed learning the songs. It is necessary that the new member has a professional attitude and skill set. She must be reliable, have no debilitating traits--drama, ego, addictions, transportation issues-- and is willing to rehearse once weekly, (currently Mondays, from about 5 to 8 P.M.,) as well as having a friendly, "family" approach to being in a band. Our band is exceptionally easy to work with, fun loving, committed to the project, and top notch players. Please have links to your performance available. We will respond to all qualified candidates in a prompt manner. Thanks for reading, and we look forward to hearing from you!
