If you are an artist in the 9 counties of the Bay Area consider participating in The Sheridan Prize for Art. This is the first ever regional art prize in the Bay Area, it's never been done before here and very few other places in the US, in fact my Prize for Art has many unique new and creative aspects that any art and culture lover will appreciate. The Prize for art will be open for artists to upload their work Sept. 7 - Nov. 1, 2022 with winners and honorable mentions announced Nov. 14. It has 12 different categories of art and artist, very progressive with 72 (SEVENTY-TWO) cash awards being offered, from $500 to $100 each (most prizes give 3 awards). This online Prize covers artists living and or working in the 9 Bay Area counties, so it's very local. Having so many cash awards are virtually unprecedented in US art competitions, but there is a lot of great talent, much of it unrecognized, and these many awards will help the artists to participate and show the public some of the true scope of artistic creativity we have here in the Bay Area. What with astronomical rents the arts have been hit very hard with many artists leaving, stopping work and gallery and exhibition spaces closing.
