Bass Player Wanted for New Cover Project

Meets

Burnsville MN

Description

Solid guitar/vocals (early 50's) seeking bass to start as a trio. Currently have several drummers interested and hope to move at a good pace to get ramped up once it's moving. Tenor vocals with a good range to handle more than most guys our age. Would help if you sing well, too.Other positions could be added later. Generally 90's to current variety of rock/pop/country hits that avoid the well-worn obvious songs (unless requested). Little to no 60's or 70's, some 80's. Most important thing is a song selection that is upbeat, fun and positive to keep people engaged. If you only want to play the music you grew up to, this isn't the situation for you. Goal is 2-3 a month centering around the south metro. Free commercial space at ground level for rehearsals; weekly until it's up and running then occasionally as new material is added. You need to be comfortable moving at a brisk pace; playing shows is the priority, not hanging out every week in my shop. Desired qualities: -less is more approach to amps. modern technology no longer requires refrigerator-sized cabinets. -you live within 20 miles or so from Burnsville. Long drives turn people off sooner or later -motivation to play regularly. life happens you should enjoy playing and want to make time for it. not the situation for 1 gig a month guys, people trying to fit it into a number of hobbies, have to travel a lot -you've been in a band regularly in recent years. -can learn & retain songs quickly and accurately (within reason) -stable life situation without substance abuse issues -easy to communicate with and you respond promptly when emailed or phoned. This is for fun but part of that is being a quality act with some polish and skill. Please provide details about yourself, including band history and recordings. Will also provide you with some with your response.
