Gateway North Apartments is looking for a dependable, energetic, and friendly maintenance worker who has a keen eye for detail, enjoys working with the public, and has some mechanical/technical knowledge. We offer great 401(k) options, a 15% onsite housing discount and paid vacation & sick time! Shift is: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, rotating on call schedule. Responsibilities: Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems Check functionality of safety systems including smoke/carbon monoxide detectors Install appliances and equipment Perform snow/ice removal Promptly address work orders and other issues as needed Collaborate with maintenance team and other professionals for repairs and preventative maintenance Report to manager any issues or preventative measures needed Any other duties as assigned by Community Manager and Maintenance Manager. Requirements: Any experience as Maintenance/Groundskeeper or similar position Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity Ability to adapt to weather conditions High school diploma or equivalent Job Type: Full-time Salary: $3,250.00 - $3,500.00 per month Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Vision Insurance Health Insurance Paid time off Paid Holidays Schedule: 8 hour shift Rotating On-Call Schedule License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Work Location: One location
