This position has a great career path within our collision center. Body shops never go out of style! Duties include: cleaning vehicles, buffing, waxing, detailing of vehicles, and other duties as assigned. We pride ourselves on always producing high quality work for our customers without exception.
*Auto Detailer experience preferred, but not required
*Experience in sanding / polishing newly painted and existing panels a plus, but not required
*Valid driver’s license with driving record acceptable to company
*Ability to lift 50 lbs. routinely, daily
*Ability to drive a manual transmission a plus, but not required
*Strong attention to detail
*High school graduate or equivalent
*Satisfactory employment references
*Performing Pre and Post diagnostic scans on vehicles that are in for repairs
*Maintaining parking lot and shop cleanliness and organization.
*Ensures that vehicles are washed and cleaned thoroughly before being returned to customers
*Vacuums and clean interior of each vehicle, including cleaning the windows
*Performs complete detail after vehicle repairs have been completed
*Buffing, waxing, clay bar, fallout, washing, headlight restoration, touch ups, etc. around the vehicle as needed even in non-repaired areas
*Quality Control: Visually inspects every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area(s), looks over estimates to ensure that all work was completed correctly according to shop standards
*Quality Control: Ensures that lights are working and aimed, parking sensors working, dash lights cleared, A/C working, coolant/fluids topped off, gaps are even, color matches, vehicle is aligned and driving correctly, etc.
*Helps with the transportation and movement of vehicles as needed
*Makes sure body shop production areas are keep clean and free of clutter
*Helps production coordinator with all duties as needed
*Responsible for informing manager or production coordinator if all tasks are completed for the day
