JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Field Technician Department: Field Job Classification: Full-time regular (40hrs./week) FLSA Status: Non-exempt (hourly) Reports to: Field Supervisor Summary The Field Technician is responsible for helping customers install, repair, and maintain equipment. Following current SOP procedure and Safety JSA and test end inspection policies. Responsibilities • Service, fuel and maintain rental equipment on oil and gas well locations, i.e. transfer light towers, generators, combos, safety showers, mobile offices, bunk house, trailers, trash trailer combos, etc.; • Transport equipment to/from locations and shop via work truck and gooseneck trailer and set-up equipment on location as directed; • Communicating and working with the Supervisor and fellow crew members to complete jobs with focus on safety, environment, and community; • Review and complete paperwork, including but not limited to logs, maintenance checklist, JSA’s etc.; • Maintain company equipment to company standards and ensure all equipment including PPE is in proper working order.; • Must maintain consistent and punctual attendance; • Must be certified on the safe operations of manlifts and forklifts; • Assist in nipple up/nipple down production trees, BOP’s, Frac-Values, Frack Stacks and Frack Manifolds with use of hydraulic wrenches as needed; • Any other job duties required by supervisor. Skills and Qualifications • Flexibility to work on-call, rotational schedule; • Ability to follow, and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations; • A highly energetic, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with a high attention to detail; • Works and inspires other to work at high performance levels; • Physically able to stand for extended periods of time; • Physically able to lift and carry 50-100 pound’s; • Experience making immediate decisions, while maintaining composure, in high pressure situations with minimal supervision. Work Conditions This position requires working outdoors while exposed to various types of weather conditions such as cold, extreme heat, wind and rain. Work is performed on various terrains including uneven hard dirt and rocky surfaces in various conditions such as wet, slippery, muddy. May be exposed to dust, gas, fumes and chemicals. Will work in areas that are under construction while working around equipment and machinery. Must be able to access work areas which are at varying heights and accessible by ladders, stairs, and aerial work platforms. Work may be performed in restricted areas such as confined spaces.
