The Democrats are beholden to the Green New Deal people, and they want renewable energy. Wind turbines are a form or method of renewable energy. Texas invested millions for these wind turbines. During the winter of 2021, Texas endured a storm that wiped out hundreds of these turbines and thus caused a significant power outage, which killed almost 100 people. Texas' governor is Republican, yet the Democrats are calling for a federal investigation that aims to put the blame on Republicans, or at least the governor. They are politicizing a tragedy. Again. Internet news story says, in part: "In February 2021, following a winter storm that caused widespread power outages for 4 million Texans that left almost 100 dead, top Democrats began to call for investigations into state Republicans’ handling of the crisis, reaffirming their support for radical environmental policies. "Governor Abbott thought Texas could run an electrical grid that ignored the climate crisis," Democratic Senate Leader Chuck Schumer, N.Y., tweeted at the time. "It was not resilient." That's what Schumer claims, but he doesn't know all the facts. He is using this crisis for political gain, and like they say about the Democrats: "Never let a tragedy go to waste". I'm sure the democrats investigation findings will uncover more of a problem regarding heaters in the turbines rather than political policies as to why the turbines failed in extreme cold. More of your tax dollars at work or squandered.
