Description

Influences I’m a Guitarist/ songwriter who’s looking to form a group. Experienced and I’ve played in many bands for the past 10 years including as an opener for Queens of The Stone Age. I’m looking for the following: Female vocalist(but open to everyone) maybe someone who’s reminiscent of PJ Harvey, Hope Sandoval, Chelsea Wolfe, Jae Matthews, Emma Ruth Rundle. Bassist that can confidently play with both pick and fingers. That understands fitting into a groove, pocket, phrasing and has a solid tone. Keyboardist that has a synth or possibly something with an organ type of tone. If you could play rhythm guitar too that would be a plus. Drummer with a heavy back beat and plays in the pocket. Having an SPDS would be great down the line. A mix of heavy guitars, western twang, trip hop, blues, post punk. I know that sounds like a lot but I’m looking to create something that’s not heard of every day. But I’m not expecting to break real barriers either. See the following for influences: Wovenhand. PJ Harvey. Mark Lanegan. Jaye Jayle. NIN. Portishead, A Place to Bury Strangers, Mazzy Star. 16 Horsepower. The Gun Club. Massive Attack. Autolux. SWANS. Algiers. CAN. Link Wray. Public Memory. Ritual Howls. The Black Ryder. More recent: IDLES. Desert Sessions. FACS. King Dude. HTRK. Boy Harsher. EARTH. Bambara. Serious inquiries only. I mean this. Experienced musicians with good gear with a history playing and recording. Levelheaded respect and no divas. Will only respond to people that send former projects- videos and pictures. I will do the same once we’re in contact. We all have jobs and things to do but need people who can commit 1-2 times of practice a week. Thank you for reading and hope to hear from you.
