Rain Garden Workshop

Description

This workshop covers impervious surface, rain garden sizing, perc test, grading, digging, soil augmentation, and safety concerns. My rain garden is over a dozen years old so I will be working on it before and after the workshop. I am a builder with a Master Rain Garden certification through Washtenaw County Water Resources and have installed dozens of rain gardens. I will have other resources for you to reach out to and some information to help you with learning more. This is part of my volunteer outreach to help reduce storm water runoff into the watershed while providing a focal point in your yard. I will also cover rainwater harvesting and take questions. Please register for the event only if you can make it. I have limited space so I can only have about 20 students.
