KANE COUNTY, IL — Kane County Board members are calling for Treasurer David Rickert to quit one of his jobs and stop splitting his commitment to the residents of Kane and Winnebago counties. Rickert fell short in November with his bid to become the next chairman of the Kane County Board, losing to Democrat Corinne Pierog. Rickert was hired in December to become chief financial officer for Winnebago County, though he still has two years remaining on his term as Kane County treasurer. Kane Co. But with recent conversations between Pierog and Rickert making it unclear whether he will leave the treasurer's office, a bipartisan group of Kane County officials is urging Rickert to step down from one of his two public positions, the Daily Herald reports.
