But we need to start, and you can be part of influencing that launch and helping to sustain and scale our outcomes by attending on October 13th! On October 13th, 2022, the newly formed Greater Sandusky Partnership private sector organization will be hosting a Fall Symposium, “Changing Our Future”, to begin to align economic new development initiatives and emerging resources towards changing negative population trends that have existed in our region for several generations. We have amazing momentum in many areas and industry sectors, but a lack of growth can threaten and inhibit the momentum we feel and only those of us vested here have the passion to create a new strategy. Accordingly, the central objective of the conference is to provide data that all of us can begin to use in our professional lives to contribute to a new future. A future that will not happen overnight but one that also will never happen if we don’t take new and collaborative approaches. We are assembling a team of speakers and panelists that will look at the census data and explore growth options that we can consider for our own investments moving forward. Speakers that have already committed or panels being planned include: Lt. Governor Jon HustedDr. Edward (Ned) Hill, Distinguished economic development professor at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University and former Dean of the College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State UniversityRuss Mills, Senior Director, Center for Regional Development, Bowling Green State UniversityJoe Cimperman, President of Global Cleveland Panels designed around immigration, the new RAISE grant and local leaders discussing their observations related to new census data and trendsWe want as many of you as possible to learn along with us at this important event, and thanks to the generosity of many sponsors, the Conference has been designed to be user friendly with the following fees: Entrance Fee: $25 College Students: $10 ***** THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ***** DOWNLOAD EVENT FLYER HERE
