Rooster is our daily source of entertainment! In true hound fashion, he likes to follow his nose wherever it leads him. He is a free-spirited boy who loves everyone he meets. We've even seen him share food with cats! He has been a Rockstar with his leash training. Hounds definitely require a family with a sense of humor & this guy keeps us laughing. An adoption counselor will be in contact with you following the submission of your application. If approved, they will arrange a meet and greet at one of our monthly trips to Chesapeake or at our shelter. Visits to the shelter are by appointment only, as we are a volunteer-run rescue organization. All PAWS dogs are spayed/neutered, and current on the vaccinations appropriate for their age. Those who are confirmed over 4 months old or older will have their rabies vaccinations. Age permitting, dogs/puppies are tested for heartworm. All are treated with flea/tick prevention and given internal parasite preventative on a regular basis. All are microchipped (for their safety and the adopter's peace of mind) as part of the adoption fee.
