Friday Oct 14: Those that wish to do so can Join Us to fill up before our field trip with brunch at the Kneaded Bread Company. Everything is delightful and with a variety soups, sandwiches , salads , pastries and breads, all freshly baked and cooked daily. There will be something to please everyone. A van ride will be provided from the Plumier foundation at 11:30am for anyone who desires a lift to our brunch location. Otherwise meet at the Kneaded Bread Company 181 North Main Street, Port Chester, NY 10573 at 11:45am. At 1:00pm we’ll meet back at Plumier for any who come in later or don’t care to have brunch. The van will leave promptly at 1:15pm for a 30 minute drive to the Lyndhurst Fall Mansion Tour where we will meet our own personal docent and guide. This one-hour tour covers two floors, treating us with a rare glimpse of the lavish, decorative arts and furniture left to Lyndhurst by previous owners. In addition, the entire estate will be decorated with the splendor of the Hudson Valley Fall Season. We’ll visit approximately 16 rooms. Our tour involves climbing only one staircase. Our tour begins at 2pm. Following the tour and a visit to the gift shop we will board the van for our ride back to the Plumier Foundation Fall Gathering for the Friday Evening mixer for drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
