Adults Needed for Research Study

Hi! I'm Hyungi Chun, and I'm a researcher at CUNY Graduate Center. We are recruiting two age groups for the research study investigating how speech rate and target word intensity affect speech perception, processing, and listening effort in noise. To qualify, you must 1. have normal hearing 2. Be between the ages of 21- and 40- years old, OR, over 60 years old 3. Have no history of neurological or learning problems 4. Speak English as your first language We will test your hearing, middle ear function, and cognitive ability to see if you qualify. The test takes ~ 3 hours (testing time varies depending on the number of breaks required). You will be paid $15/hour for your participation in the study. Compensation will not exceed $45. Testing will take place at the Graduate Center of CUNY located at 365 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10016.
