Description
Princess is an approximately 1yr old female pit(probably). She was found on the side of the highway half starved about a month ago. No original owner was ever found(we tried).
She is sweet and loves people. She is timid and shy at first, but warms up quickly. She is a people pleaser, and very food motivated. It is obvious that she was not previously trained, but she is picking things up quickly. She always prefers to be with her people, but will go in her kennel when told. She is fully house trained.
Princess does not like other free roaming animals in the house. She is aggressive toward dogs and cats. Unfortunately, we have both already. We have tried working with her, supervising interactions, but have not been successful in getting her to tolerate our other animals. For this reason, she will need a new home.
We would like to find her a home that has no other free roaming pets, and no small children. She has been sweet as can be with everyone in our home, but she likes to jump up to greet people. She is oblivious of the fact that her nails can scratch. We have not been able to train her out of it yet. She has to have her hug before she will stay off. We feel that small children would likely get knocked over and possibly scratched.
She will come with the xl kennel we have been using for her when we leave the house. We want her new home to be successful, and honestly don't know how she would behave unkenneled home alone.
If you feel she would be a good fit for your home, please text, phone calls will be ignored.
We did take her to get her rabies vaccine last week.
