Celebrate autumn in the woods (and pawpaw season) with Hike + Write! Natalie Villacorta, PhD candidate in Creative Writing and Literature, and Lara Wardlow, Cincinnati Parks Naturalist, will give informal talks and lead a writing activity and hike through LaBoiteaux Woods. We'll be looking for pawpaws and writing about discovering unexpected delights. Whether you’re a proficient outdoorsperson or new to the outdoors, we’d love to have you join us. We’ll have a fire going for those who prefer to do their writing fireside rather than on the trail. Hike + Write is a series of programs that will bring together UC writers and Cincy Parks naturalists to explore outdoor/wild spaces throughout the city. Hike + Write is for anyone who wants to spend time outdoors hiking or hanging out by the fireis interested in learning skills like identifying native plants, starting a fire, or building a shelteris curious about the history and ecology of Cincinnatiis interested in thinking, talking, and writing about the natural world and our place in it
