Description

Press release from the City of St. Louis Park: January 5, 2021 Many people enjoy feeding wildlife, especially in the winter. However, City of St. Louis Park ordinance prohibits feeding of wildlife such as deer, geese, racoons or wild turkeys. Not only will this attract animals who may not be as welcomed by your neighbors as by you, the food can also attract rodents and other nuisance animals that can invade homes, outdoor sheds and other structures. Feeding birds is allowed, if the bird seed is not placed on the ground and is placed in a feeder that is a minimum of 5 feet off the ground. This ensures that deer and other wildlife don't have easy access and aren't attracted to the seed or feeder. This press release was produced by the City St. Louis Park.
