Description

Through the learning and chanting of sacred mantra to live music, followed by a practice of silent meditation, Leila will guide you in these more subtle and valuable yoga practices to discover your true, blissful nature within. Mantra is translated as "instrument of thought", "sacred text or speech", or a "prayer". The chanting of mantra with live harmonium can still your mind, cultivate joy in your heart, open your breath, and build your voice. Sitting in silent meditation afterwards can help you access deeper levels of inner peace. Both are deep and effective meditation practices. Class will begin with a grounding relaxation to calm the body-mind, some gentle yoga postures to release tension in the body, and basic breathing exercises to focus the attention inward. Next will come the learning and chanting of a mantra, followed by a period of silent meditation. Deep relaxation will finish the class inviting a profound sense of inner tranquility and joy. All are welcome! Covid Protocols: Participants will be required to be fully vaccinated and show proof of covid vaccine. Cost: $30 Please note: all payments are final, and there are no refunds or credits. Thanks for understanding Leila Swenson has been teaching yoga in the Bay Area since 2010.
