Description

This 3-day Nurturing Fathers Training with Jennifer Moss entails an experience of working inside the belief systems that lead to nurturing parenting, reviewing each topic from the Nurturing Fathers and Marriage and Parenting program. Jennifer walks you through real life examples teaching various NP groups and home visitation, as well as experiencing over two dozen engagement activities with her style of teaching. Although she was trained under both Stephen Bavolek and Mark Perlman directly, Jennifer's focus is implementation, with a special emphasis on Self-Care and Communication skills. Be prepared to experience music, movement, partner sharing, intense experiential group work and activities, and powerful discussions. This is a trauma informed, strength based, needs based parent education training that is backed by 35 years of research and evidenced based credentials. The Nurturing Fathers Program specialized workshop teaches the philosophy of nurturing fathering and how to implement and facilitate the Nurturing Fathers program, as well as a day of experiencing the Marriage & Parenting Program (an offshoot of the NP curriculum designed for couples, co-parents and anyone single wanting to process past relationships with the goal of doing it better next time)! These workshops address hands-on skills and experiential exercises to use with both parents, with an emphasis on male nurturing and male ways of parenting and communicating with children. Topics include: • The Roots of Fathering • Self-Nurturing Skills • Feelings and Male Nurturance • Fathering without Violence or Fear • Overcoming Barriers to Nurturing Fathering: Anger, Alcohol/Other Substances, and Stress • Discipline as a team sport • Fun • Fathering Sons/Fathering Daughters • Nurturing Relationships: Teamwork between Father and Co-parent/Spouse • Balancing Work: A Time and a Place for Fathering • Healing the Father Wound • Family His-tory/Her-story (Couples Program*) • Family Leadership (Couples Program*) • Role Modeling (Couples Program*) • Additional communication practice around wants and needs • Additional time management tools Dates: November 2 -4, 2022 Day 1 Training Time (Nov. 2): 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Days 2 & 3 Training Time (Nov. 3-4): 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Location: First 5 Shasta, 393 Park Marina Circle, Redding Who should attend?
