Description

The relationship between the board Chair and the CEO is crucial to accomplishing the nonprofit's mission. It sets the tone for the entire organization. In this session we will examine how relationships are built and offer practical steps to developing a partnership between these vital leaders. We encourage CEOs/EDs and their Chairs to attend and learn together. Note: For lunch, you may to register for a $10 lunch ticket that includes a boxed lunch from Downtown Deli and Doughnuts or a free ticket that allows you to bring your own lunch. Soft drinks and water will be available for all attendees. About our Presenter: After more than thirty years as a sales and marketing executive, Arnold graduated from the corporate world in 2014 to serve nonprofit and ministry leaders. He is the South Carolina Area Director for Mission Increase, a national nonprofit that worked with over 3500 organizations last year. Based in Greenville, he teaches and coaches on capacity-building topics such as: fundraising, strategic planning, marketing, board governance, and leadership development. Arnold currently serves over 175 nonprofits in the Carolinas. He recently completed six years of board service for an inner-city ministry that cares for the homeless, prostitutes and men transitioning out of prison. Arnold and his wife Kristie have been married for 37 years. They have two grown children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Arnold's mission is: To help those who help others
