She took the further step of laying the blame for the “broken immigration system” at the feet of the Trump administration. The vice president said the first step is to create a “pathway to citizenship,” as if there is not already one. It was then that she said “the border is secure” but the immigration system is broken. This coming from the Biden administration that has seen numbers swarming across the border almost double since the president took office last year. Todd told Harris that the border is about to see two million crossings and asked if “you’re confident this border’s secure.” Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reports that there have been 1.9 million migrant encounters along the border in the latest fiscal year as of July. It is certain that the total will surpass two million by the start of the new fiscal year in October. How typical for the democrats to never take responsibility for their mistakes and blame the republicans. It is just one of the tactics they use in their playbook. They know midterm elections are right around the corner and they are trying to not lose the House and Senate.
