History of Sugar Skulls & Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead):
Day of the Dead is a holiday celebrated in Mexico, where people honor their deceased loved ones. The sugar skull tradition can be traced back over 3,000 years ago. It is a tradition for families to head to the grave site at the stroke of midnight on October 31. There, they would decorate their loved ones' ofrendas (offerings) with both large and small handmade sugar skulls. We are honoring this tradition with a fun-filled craft night where guests can paint their own sugar skulls.
