New Worcester Vax Clinic Offers Monkeypox, COVID-19 Shots

WORCESTER, MA — After adding new omicron-specific COVID-19 boosters last week, Worcester will also have two new free vaccine clinics available weekly delivering both coronavirus and monkeypox shots. The new Monday and Friday clinics will be sponsored by AIDS Project Worcester. The clinics will complement the weekly COVID-19 vaccine clinics held each Wednesday and Saturday at the main library downtown. There are also two other COVID-19 vaccine clinics in Worcester: Mondays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the YMCA, 766 Main St. Mondays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Mercantile Center, 100 Front St.Monkeypox vaccines are in shorter supply than coronavirus shots. The new AIDS Project Worcester clinics will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays at 165 Southbridge St. The Worcester DPH vaccine clinics run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays, and noon to 5 p.m. on Saturdays at the main library, 3 Salem St. Only the Wednesday clinic at the library offers updated coronavirus booster shots tuned for the omicron variant.
