Sure there is cause the nut case that flags me emails me to tell me so. He also tells me when he is leaving town and he worries when I don't post. He has a real screw loose and I consider his emails to be stalking. I could report him to the police but I am sure they have better things to do. And yes the police can track a person down from their emails.
The local police don't care about someone emailing you, you have to get the government involved. The FBI or the FTC. I'd report him if it bothers you that much. Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).
