PROJECT: Fort Hill High School Boiler & Gym Wing HVAC Replacement BIDS DUE: October 4, 2022 @ 11:00 A.M. CONTACT: Adam Sterne / PHONE (301) 729-8900 / FAX (301) 729-0163 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The scope of this project includes replacing the existing coal fired steam heating plant in its entirety including existing coal fired boilers, steam to water heat exchangers and all accessory equipment, heating water pumps, heating water piping within the boiler room, new combustion air system, boiler flue system, gas piping, heating plant controls, and associated electrical work including replacement of lighting. The existing domestic water heater(s), tank, thermostatic mixing valve, recirculation pump, controls and piping in the boiler room shall be replaced in its entirety. Additionally, all steam fired Air Handling equipment serving the gym, aux gym, locker rooms, exercise room(s) team room shall be replaced with packaged gas fired units. The existing natural gas service, will be relocated. Contractor shall provide a pad and 8’-0” chain link with gate fence for and around the gas meter assembly. Roof mounted air handling equipment shall be located on steel (hot piped galvanized) dunnage with grating, removable section in grating to access roof, hand rails, ladder etc. All roofing shall be replaced in its entirety. Existing ceilings shall be replaced in areas of removal and or installation of ductwork. The existing ductwork shall be provided with external insulation. The existing electrical distribution system and fire alarm system shall be extended and modified to support the proposed mechanical systems and equipment.
