Small horse farm on San Juan Island looking for honest, reliable person for part-time or full-time work of general farm tasks and occasional machine labor--experience with tractors, chain saws, logging and fencing is a plus, but can be taught. Farm chores include stall/paddock mucking, horse turnout, horse feeding 2x day (first thing in the morning and again at night), chicken feeding and the occasional chicken coop cleaning, as well as mowing, trimming, etc. Must be able to lift bales of hay and bags of feed. Horse experience a plus but we can teach all you need to know. References a must, and sense of humor is important. Smokers need not apply. Perks include access to an organic garden and organic chicken eggs and the ability to work in a peaceful, scenic environment.
