Olympia Provisions is looking for a jack of all trades to assist in our maintenance and facility duties at our production plant. This position reports directly to our facility manager in a variety of tasks every day. Essential Functions Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule. Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing repairs. Performs touch up and finish painting. Performs weekly and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on all operating equipment. Identifies defects and problem areas to management. Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures. Reports work accomplished to supervisor and maintains Maintenance calendar along with Lead Maintenance tech. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Order and pick up supplies and materials as needed to maintain shop functionality and supply shop projects Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas Preferred Qualities Experience in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance A skilled artisan; able to create high quality hand-work and has appropriate material handling skills A self-motivator who can prioritize tasks, work cleanly and efficiently, and meet project deadlines Excellent communication skills both in listening to and instructing others An empathetic, positive, can-do attitude Experience in a dynamic, flexible work environment where organization and flexibility are key factors to team success Someone who is reliable, timely, clean, and alert Benefits: Benefit plan including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance PTO Discounted Trimet Pass 401K Shift meal & beverage Product discounts COVID19 Safety: We've established many protocols to keep our staff and customers safe and healthy. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Schedule: Permanent Working Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 9 AM - 5:30 PM Training Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM (about 1 month) Preferred Qualities An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance A skilled artisan; able to create high quality hand-work and has appropriate material handling skills A self-motivator who can prioritize tasks, work cleanly and efficiently, and meet project deadlines Excellent communication skills both in listening to and instructing others An empathetic, positive, can-do attitude Experience in a dynamic, flexible work environment where organization and flexibility are key factors to team success Someone who is reliable, timely, clean, and alert
