Description

With some regret we're looking to re-home our one year old female dog. We got her from a family on cl when she was about 3 months old. They told us she was 100% Labrador, which clearly wasn't true, but a DNA test revealed she's mostly Treeing Walker Coonhound, Catahoula Leopard Dog, Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever. She's very affectionate, loves attention and playing with people and dogs, is potty trained and crate trained, is good with ours and our friends children, and has most of her shots. The reason we're re-homing is she has way too much energy for what we're able to accommodate at this time. She is extremely athletic and would make an awesome dog for someone who hikes/runs/mountain bikes. She does love water. Sadie needs plenty of dedicated exercise everyday or a lot of land to run around on. We have an acre and it isn't enough. She doesn't run away but gets zoned into flushing out birds and is impossible to catch if she gets loose. She has use of a large dog run and it is not enough. She runs back and forth constantly in the run, burning off energy. We're asking a very small rehoming fee, but she will only go home with somebody who has land or is active. A small yard or dog run is not enough for this girl. Any reply which doesn't explain why she'd be a good fit for you will not get a response. Sadie is a great dog but we're at a point in our lives where we can't give her what she needs and I'd rather find her a permanent home sooner than later. Thanks for reading. Email if interested and leave a phone number if you'd like a text back.
