* Full Benefits * Competitive Pay * Great Location * The Heavy Equipment Manager is responsible for ensuring industrial equipment at all company sites (landfill, Excavation and the Material Recovery Facility) is maintained properly and in safe operational condition. This position hires, trains and oversees the work of mechanics charged with repairing and maintaining the industrial equipment. High school diploma or its equivalent and at least 10 years of experience with hydraulic and electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, engine, transmissions, HVAC, and special body applications OR completion of technical school program with at least five years of experience; At least three years of maintenance supervisory experience graduate of a technical school with five to eight years’ experience; Ability to function in a fast paced work environment; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong mechanical background; and Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook. MSHA or OSHA training certificates; Maintenance supervisory certificates; and Computerized Maintenance Management Software training (CMMS). Valid Texas Class C driver’s license; Motor Vehicle Report with a clean driving record for the past three years; and Must have and maintain ASE or Dealer certification. *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
