FREE Groceries! Action Church will be giving food away on Tuesday, September 13th & 27th starting at 2PM til 5PM for those in need of food assistance in the home. Households will receive meat, fruit, vegetables, dairy, deli, bakery, and non-perishable items as donations from our vendors and donors allow. PLEASE take time to read the disclaimer on the bottom of this post. 1 box per household and once per month. Bring a picture I.D. if possible. We can not hold items and we do not deliver for the safety of our volunteers. We are here to help. We are located at 707 S. Germantown Rd. East Ridge, TN 37412 We have now moved to the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays to better serve our clients. Disclaimer - Some of the food you may receive may be past the best by, sell by, or expiration date. Most non-perishable canned and boxed products are safe to eat long after the date on the container. Refrigerated and frozen foods such as meat, & dairy can be extended if they are handled properly. Once a perishable item is frozen, it doesn’t matter if the date expires — foods kept frozen continuously are safe indefinitely, though the quality slowly deteriorates over time.
